Guys, please let me explain my position to you, fo rthose who want to hear me moan...
Im currently a healthy lad of 21 years. I workout out regular, gym, football, you name it i do it. One thing that is not healthy however is my desire to achieve money and financial security before i am 35. Now i am not a Uni Graduate, i did not even to to well on my GCSE's. (still with me?)
At the moment i work as an SMC Clerk for a supplier chain finance company that is being taken over and we will all be made redundant in December (possibly earlier). This does not really relate to Trading in anyway but this is the career i want to pursue.
Im finding it so damn hard to even get a start within some sort of Arcade, IB as they all want experience, even the junior roles seem to want 2 years experience in a firm before you can get a back-office role. I can tell that is where i am going to have to start and work my way up through the company. My work ethic is second to none, it is just academically, ive never been on the ball. Im sure you guys know what i mean. Im the sort of barrow boy guy who you would, and still could, find working in an arcade.
I currently hold the Financial Regs SII exam and will be studying for Unit 4 Securities and Derivatives paper. Would this make a difference. Also because im having such a hard time even getting in somoewhere, im thinking maybe even an admin role of some sort perhaps. I have a Interview for a energy trading company tommorrow for a sort of admin / support role, would this be a good oppotunity to expose myself in the world of trading and how many traders are actually successful and secure financially for the rest of there lives. The thought of still hittig the South Eastern Connex trains at the age of 50 is enough to make me want to finish it all right now. Any career advice greatly appreciated. Please P.M. me also.
Regards,
Marc
