This is my first post here so hello everyone.
I have been trading forex for couple of years and started to be interested in stocks.
I would like to put $1000 in my account and start testing and trading.
In fx you can open position with micro, mini and standard lots and setting risk is not a problem for me.
1. In FX your can get 1:500 leverage, how is it in stocks?
What is the max you can get from a broker?
2. How much is one point worth? Is it $1 in the US and £0.01 in the UK?
3.Let say I risk 5% of my account which would be $50.
Does it mean that I can get 2 * $25 dollar stock or 5 * $10 stock and trade it or I get any value stock ($500 / stock) and my SL would trigger if the price would fall to $450?
