Hi,

I want to learn how to trade but as I have never used trading software, apart from buying stocks and shares using selftrade, spread betting and playing the simulator on the msn money website, what would be the best way to learn how to use these? Books, Prop firms, etc? And which programmes would you recommend? Are there any simulator programmes that I can download?

I've been looking into prop firms here in the UK - some offer salaried training, others don't and then there's the ones that charge - but I have no idea which ones are reputable.

Could you guys please give me some pointers.

Before you pay for any course
There is a lot of free information on this website and threads for just about every style of trading or method.
There are also endless threads discussing various London prop shops.
Spend some time doing some research before you spend some $$

One pointer is to beware of spammers, such as the one who replied to this thread and several other newbie threads. These people are out to plug their websites and their products.

In particular look for the same person, in this case intfxed replying with the same reply and the same link to many threads in the same day.

Do not waste your money on them, when there are numerous free resources that are just as good and, in fact, generally better
