In the 100 metres Usain Bolt shoots off straight down the track when the gun fires. When Jonny Wilkinson takes a penalty he retreats a few yards after having placed the ball before moving forward to kick it unerringly between the posts.
I like my trades to be Usain Bolts (don't we all
) but this week they've all been Jonny Wilkinsons and the whole damn lot stopped out. You might wonder about stopped out since you might recall that I'm supposed to be hedging rather than stopping. So I am, but this week has been beset by interruption and I couldn't rely on being there to hedge so relied on stops.
What a frost - loads of balls between the posts racking up the points, but with me left lying on the ground bleeding. I suppose the moral of the story is not to trade unless you can give it your 100% attention.
