I've got some real gold. Where can I sell it?

Perhaps a stoopid question, but I've got a small amount of actual gold, just a few ounces. Where can I go to sell it? I'm in a large town with a couple of numismatists but there must be a more likely option. I could short gold to expiry and actually deliver I suppose, but it'd be much easier to walk down the road to a shop

is your gold in weighted stamped bars? you should be able to sell it to any gold broker at a slight % discount to the market price.

I reckon you could do worse than keep it for the foreseeable , judging by the explosive price action this last few months

Hmm - ebay - nice suggestion! Though I'm sure the excessive final value fees (something like 2-3% if i remember correctly) make it more attractive to sell somewhere else.
