Thank you Etem. I was in Istanbul few days ago and while there opened a bank account at Garanti Bank and through their online banking you can trade shares. I bought GBP 1000 equivalent in Asya Katilim Bank for my young son as a long term investment. I think it has good potential for the next few years.
I think Garanti charged me only TRY 5 (£2) for the transaction, so I will be using them.
From the international brokerage firms, ChoiceTrade told me that I can trade on ISE via them, but the commission would be $5 + $25 broker assistance surcharge. This is too high in my view, so didn't go ahead with them.
Interactive Brokers and TradeStation both told me they can't provide me access to ISE.
