I'm a U.S. Citizen living in Germany, I have a forex loss from last year but may have a forex gain this year, does anyone know if forex is even taxed in Germany?
I know in Germany, income is defined in only 7 categories and it has to fall into one of those categories to be taxable income, if it is not, then it is not income that is taxable. (unlike the U.S. where income is from any source, wherever derived, e.g. lottery winnings or finding a million dollars on the ground is incoming in the U.S. but not in Germany)
