Hey
Aside from trading do many people here "invest" aswell as or as a replacment to trading?
Does trading as it is more time consuming (generally) give higher returns than investing?
(im talking very generally here, i know both can win or loose)
Im currently trying to find someway to make some money i have grow and found some 6.05% bonds for 1 year at birmingham midshires (guaranteed) and then looking at things like:
http://www.marketwatch.com/news/sto...x?guid={C7209715-4739-47E7-85A4-59AFE8D28BBF}
(index tracking funds)
and
Mutual funds like this:
http://www.theaic.co.uk/find_compare/trustprofile/conventional/trust.asp?id=JMF
Im woundering if they may be a better bet, but im thinking of how much importance (when looking at the return from these typo of investments) is and extra percentage as a guaranteed year bond can get you around 6% whereas on the market watch link above those funds get an average of around 7% (correct me if im wrong) is that extra 1% worth the risk?
Thanks
