iMac compatible for use with BARX trading platform?

Hi. I'm hoping that someone can help as I'm getting conflicting information from Barclays Stockbrokers! I'm about to purchase an iMac but am unsure as to whether I will be able to operate BARX on it? Does anyone have any experience in this? Thanks....

I have a Mac book pro running Mac OS X and it will not run Barx. Two options to run Barx on Mac are:
1) Install Boot camp and boot up as a windows machine: Slows everything down because the machine is having to wast CPU cycles emulating widows.
2) Install Parallels: Again slow due to emulation.
