IG INDEX Lists New Exotics

I see IG Index have introduced SPOT spreads for 5 new exotic currenices against USD, GBP and EUR. They say forward contracts will follow shortly.

Anybody interested in these?

These are : Hungarian Florint, (HUF) Polish Zloty, (PLN) CzechKoruna (CZK) , Mexican Peso. (MXN) and Thai Baht (THB)

This obviously follows Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) launching trading in these this week. See this link :

It marks the continued emergance of eastern Europe and the need to hedge economic activity in those currencies, and although they all might join the Euro eventually, their currencies will still trade through 2006.

Mexican Peso could be due a recovery vis-a-vis the USD.....

dave, i used to trade some of these in the spot market but spreads were always rather wide from what i can remember i have started using IG daily options though, whcih has proved very profitable
