I like TA, I'm experienced in TA etc.
Just that the last few years, every prop trader i've spoken to does nothing but arb strategies (stat, index arb) or quant strategies.
No charts, nothing. In fact i've been dissed a few times for talking technicals. These are mostly IB prop traders dealing in derivatives and commodities.
What is the context of technicals in other places?
Is TA generally regarded as a thing of the past? Something that really doesn't work?
