Hi all,
I'm 21 and working for an IB in London, have been in the BO for 5 years now, 2 with the company i am with now and the remainder with a well known broker. really want to get into Prop. Trading and have been studying for my STA Diploma as well. Been reading loads from a young age and have started applying this to trading Forex on a demo account, (began not to long ago, as I was building a trading system- not doing bad, in positive territory- but by no means impressive yet) as I do not have the funds to back myself outright.
In the members opinion, would you think it would be likely I could get into a IB Prop desk, or would working for one of the prop shops be a better route? Although I think of myself as intelligent I have no degree, as I got the chance to get into the industry at a young age and have worked my way up.
I'm on a good path already, but I really want to apply myself and be judged against my peers. any thoughts would be great positive or negative.
Happy Trading.
