Hello everyone I hope you’re all doing well. So I am very new to trading hence why I think I may have made a big mistake and going to lose all my money on a stock so please be patient with me if I sound stupid. Admittedly I was absolutely stupid enough to buy shares in Hyzon motors last week before even studying the company, circumstances and only studying the trends of the actual stock as it plummeted to 0.50 which is insane so I quickly bought hoping it would even shoot back up to 1.05 and make a quick sale and double up. Oh boy how I was wrong as Hyzon has now been temporarily suspended from the market and looking likely to be permanently removed and I’m annoyed as I could have sold for 0.70 the other day and made a little profit but I held as I was so unaware the company was dissolving (absolutely stupid I know) and now I’m left with stocks in a company that looks likely to be removed from the market.

What options do I even have? Is it a case of a hard lesson learnt, accept the loss and move on or is there actually anything I can do at all in current to recoup even a little money?
As I said I am brand new to trading so I never even knew this could happen (stock getting completely removed) if I’m honest with you.

All advice and help is greatly appreciated. Truly.

Thank you.

The first lesson to learn here is to "never try and catch a falling knife" and there will have been good reasons why price had dropped so much to start with. Those with inside knowledge (that most retail traders never get access to) will have got out for a reason. It is also worth noting an often misunderstood concept and that is markets don't go down because everyone is selling. They go down due to a lack of buying support so you can get situations where a market has enormous amounts of selling but does not decline because someone decides to absorb the selling by buying all the sell orders. So if a market declines rapidly and you decide to buy at what looks like a bargain price, then you are in a minority of people who are buying to start with which is always high risk in my view.

Thanks for your reply 🙂

Yes I understand that and I suppose it’s probably going to be just an expensive lesson. Is there anyway it might stay on the market even for little bit after this suspension and if it does permanently get removed is that kind of lights out and I’ve lost everything or is there anyway of recouping even a little bit?

Sorry if my questions sound ridiculous I am very new to this.
