A quick look at the PC and Trading Room Setups Image Gallery would suggest 8 screens is leading the pack!

Only have 3 myself:

1 x 19in CRT
1 x 42in plasma
1 x 17in widescreen LCD Laptop

that's more than plenty for me.....

hi (not chatted for a while ) - At last year's meeting in Brum he had 9 as I remember.... maybe Helen Q can run a sweep based on how many Mike will use by the next meeting?
I have to admit, I thought Mike was good first time round... he's obviously a candidate for some sort of Vulcan mind meld (but with a supercomputer) sometime!

Not sure whether I want to compare any other numbers

Not sure I would know what to do with any more but

The more screens you have, the more you find to fill them.

I laptop - 9 screens - Forex

I use 9 screens on one laptop ! can expand any screen instantly - why complicate matters when you can do it all on one computer (less than £1200 and free software from your trading company - I trade Forex usually GBP/USD - takes me seconds to change to another currency- image attached. Market closed on this picture hence no trading activity - (KISS) keep it simple stupid -

Hi Salty Think its 512K Pentium 3 (nearly 3 years old) investing in another shortly now that they have all come down in price by 25% this year. Let my wrecking grandson have this one.

I have three monitors (charting across two, and the third for TWS) although I spend 95% of my time watching the central monitor - a 21" - which has just a 10 min chart and a 5 min chart on it.

For back-up I have a stand-alone PC with one monitor, and I also have a laptop in case the power goes.

So altogether I am gently fried by the 5 monitors on my desk. :cheesy:

very interesting setup u have there. not often a trader would be satisfied with 1 monitor.

i also use a laptop, with a second old 15" monitor attached on a pentium 3 750 laptop, with 256 ram, and memory is a big problem

can u tell us the full spec of your laptop, and also presumably, u use broadband 0.5Mb speed..... please confirm ....

I have one of my three screens taken up by Proquote, the middle is taken by Bloomberg launchpad and on the third I run my trading platform ( currently IG's L2), and all the other bits and peices ( msn messenger, outlook, excel, etc, etc) almost time for a fourth screen...
