The H4 bar is obviously an aggregate of 4 1-hour bars.

But, the H4 bar is calculated based on system-time.
Doesnt that mean the H4 bar has a different structure?

Looking back, I suspect the H4 bars I now see on my charts are different because of the time-change.

How do you make sense of H4 patterns "looking back" knowing they may be different, as the Market Open/Close has shifted by 1 hour?

Is this an issue?
 
Good point. Its always dangerous to put absolute faith in a metric that is not absolute.

Maybe significant that the overlap of London and New York trading is temporarily different until the Americans also put their clocks back (this weekend).
