I am using MT4 for trading and using two indicators for trial: CCI(14) and EMA(20, c). I have tried to generate the indicator data based on the price exported from MT4. However, following the CCI and EMA formula found on the internet, I cannot generate the right number which is the same as those on MT4.
How can I calculate the CCI and MT4 data through EXCEL?
By the way, the formula I use are:
CCI = (TYP - MA(TYP, 14))/(0.015*AVEDEV(TYP, 14))
in which TYP = (High + Low + Close)/3
MA (TYP, 14) is got from the sum of typical prices for 14 days including the current day.
EMA(20, c) = EMA(19, c) + (close(20) - EMA(19, c))/(2(20+1))
