FUTEX-Help on 1st round interview

Hi, I ve just passed their first assessment and have been invited for a 30 mins interview with them. I wonder anyone here has ever interviewed with them? can anyone tell me what kind of questions I expect to be asked?

Hi there

I was jut wondering how the first assessment was like?Any advice would be appreciated.
 
The best advice I could give you is do not touch them with a barge pole unless you want to hand over your soul to the devil.

Care to elaborate? Is this just a "PROP FIRMS/ARCADES ARE EVIL!", or is there something specifically bad about Futex?

I will be glad to answer your question but first you must answer one of mine. Are you a Futex or prop employee?

hey tafita did YOU fail the assesment at Futex by any chance ?

Tafita whats the matter did you fail the exams or perhaps you didnt even get invited to that satge ( was your CV not good enough?) Futex is an unberlievable company I am currently trading on the simulator the management is fantastic and the set up is great so unless you can state a reason why no body should 'touch' Futex, SEEEEEEEE YA MATEEEEEEEEEEEEE...

No, I'm a student - never worked for them, or any other trading company. I wouldn't recommend Futex (or any other prop firm), since I don't consider myself to be well enough informed. You appear to have some information, which I hope you will be able to share for the benefit of everyone here.

:LOL: Wow, I was warned that this site may contain an odd ball or two. A simulator you say. Now that is REAL trading chaps, take heed: if you can make a profit on a simulator, you can make a profit in the market.:clap:

The post you have quoted makes no refrence to a simulator.....

and the person who does mention a simulator works at Futex and is therefore in an excellent position to comment on the company. Wether or not he is profitable or even trading live yet is irrelevant.

Anyway.....

Advising people in public not to "touch them with a barge pole unless you want to hand over your soul to the devil" is pretty strong and if you have a genuine reason to believe this then you should explain why. There is no reason why it should be kept in PM's.
 
Everyone will have different opinions about things. Tafita had a negative experience with Futex. It's no big deal. Although I think he came on a bit strong about it!
 
I think the whole thing sounds fasinating. I would love to go to the offices and just watch people trade! It'd be like going to a football match for me!
 
Many thanks for those who decided to ignore the private and confidential nature of the said PM. :eek:It is fitting that those who seem to defend Futex are in some way connected to them such as being an employee. And as for comming on a bit strong. This is a public forum with rules of engagement. If your ego's are unable to take what is being said, I fear for you. It is fitting that those with reasoned replies to my original post have already proved themselves as consistently profitable traders on these boards.

With no salary and no chance at making I could no longer afford to live especialy with a £100 a week train fair to Woking! However with this I will not be on a sim and I can walk to work so the pressures to make money from the start will be a lot less. When you have no pressure to make money, it's a lot easier!

On a serious note, why did Futex keep you on a simulator for so long? I'm interested to learn the way of training new recruits

maybe it is better to lose money on the sim rather than on the live market.

Losing real money can devaste you and never recover at least on the sim you lose and if you are smart you are going to learn and finally improve.

This makes sense, but why would Futex keep trainees on a simulator for approximately a year. Did they ever trade real money?
