I'm Mike in Evergreen Colorado, and I'm new to this forum. I am a software engineer by trade and part-time market tinkerer. I have written an analytics package for my personal trading activities.
I don't know if this is the proper place to make this request, but I have to start somewhere. What I need is a "raw" price feed that I can read and manipulate with my software, i.e., I don't want to look at a real time chart but rather manipulate the data within my analytics software.
I need real time NYSE/NASDAC equities as well as futures/spot prices. I need to be able to calculate "fair value" in real time in order to determine when program trading by the large institutions kicks in. To compute fail value, I'll need the S&P500 spot and futures price.
Do anyone know of a firm that provides a real time feed of S&P500 fair value?
Does anyone know of a "raw" real time price feed of equities and futures that isn't too expensive?
