EOD trading.

My understanding of an EOD trader is someone who trades using End OF Day data and not live data. Because they use EOD data they by necessity hold postions for at least one day, if not longer.

But I'm still new so there may be more to it than that as well.

I am primarily an EOD trader which for me means looking for certain cyclical setups as one method, I have others. When a trade is identified I may get an entry the following day or wait a few days to get the entry I want, after an entry is taken I may hold for hours or days as targets can be hit quickly or they grind up, usually I am looking to achieve a price move within 3-5 days.

For me I find it easier to identify setups on a closing basis, not closing price but how the stock has performed over days and look for confirmation of tops and bottoms.

I am an EOD trader, I trade using technical indicators which feed off end of day data. It means I trade using weekly/monthly trends and only visit my trading once a day. Trades can last anything from a few hours (when a stop is hit) to months.
