Eclipse FLEX broadband

My IP Eclipse sent me this ad for their new FLEX broadband. Apparently you can change your speed at the touch of a button.
I haven't got broadband but I thought it might be of interest

Very interesting. Eclipse are my current ISP (and very pleased with them).

Unfortunately, existing Eclipse Connect customers cannot upgrade to FLEX.

*Interesting idea but too tempting. I think I would forget to turn the switch off. Anyway how is the hourly charge determined does a 1 x 3 min flex during a month cost the equivalent of 1 hour.

I suppose the best thing to do is batch your large downloads. 9p sounds vg for an hour but this involves a bit of switching to get best value

Flexing is apparently asymmetric i.e. you can't flex an upload - no use for gamers or sending others large files speedily.
