Easylanguage displace question

Hi. Im wondering if its possible to place a displaced point into a variable

ex:

when i do this

Plot1[x](y, "POINT");

this will plot Y then displace it back X bars

is there a way to store the displaced Y into a variable

i tried

Z=[x]y

but i get an error.

hope its pretty clear
