Do you think a stock broker that charges $1 commission is a good business idea?

so i am just thinking to create a brokerage/website where orders will cost a fixed $1 dollar. I know there are many expenses/problems, etc. I am just asking if you think customers will be attracted to such thing or they will stick to known names like etrade, scottrade, etc.

10x!

I quickly looked back over your posts.
You are full of ideas aren't you.?

Mr C - I always thought you were already on a different planet...

How about grapes with meat in the middle? That would be nice, you could grow them in hot countries and feed poor people.

How much are the exchange fees for a start? How much is left after you pay them? How much will all your compliance cost? What about back office overheads etc etc.

If you're determined to start some web based business related to trading then why not some sort of affiliate scheme for dodgy spreadbet companies? I think they pay a percentage of the money your clients lose rather than a percentage of commissions.
