So, I've been a member of this site for many years now. Dipping in and out of the "idea" of trading. Half heartedly reading books here and there. But now i've decided this is the occupation I want to take up. I know that it will take alot of hours, committment and dedication but my over riding goal is simply to work for myself. I'd rather be a slave to the market than a slave to a corporate boss.
Now the journey begins. For me, ultimate success will be to have the funds to travel from place to place taking in different cultures and sites whilst trading from my laptop. Though, it is not a fully quantifiable goal or specific as yet, this is the dream I want to attain. Basically, freedom to go from place to place, working the hours I want to work doing something that I am good at whilst experiencing everything the world has to offer.
I hope to keep making entries as I further my quest. At first I imagine they will sound like pie in the sky dreams. But after awhile, once I have become well read, developed a good grasp of the basics of trading I can then begin to formulate strategies, test the market and begin to gain confidence.
