Could any of you please advise if im am doing the right thing?
I'm currently working as a compliance officer, and recently decided I want a career change something more challenging, interesting and a lot more rewarding for the hard work I put in. So after speaking with friends that are brokers for Tullett Prebon, Winterflood Securities and HSH Nordbank and watching films such as Rogue Trader and Boiler Room
I decided to go for it.
So I thought as I have no experience it would be best to apply for a Desk Assistant position. As my current position is basically similar, providing support to other Compliance Officers in the team. My girlfriend as lovely as she is also bought me CISI Unit 1 FSA Regs and CISI Unit 3 Derivatives from 7 City believing that doing these would give me more of an advantage.
Could you please advise if I should be doing anything else to get into broking/ trading?
I do have previous sales experience as well so Im hoping that will go in my favour.
