Is it inevitable that CAD will reach parity soon? Will it be higher than USD and remain higher? What are your thoughts on the USD in the coming 1-3 years vs CAD?

Is it inevitable that CAD will reach parity soon? Will it be higher than USD and remain higher? What are your thoughts on the USD in the coming 1-3 years vs CAD?

Fundamentally, CAD has a lot going for it with rising oil prices, rising employment, and lots of raw materials the developing world needs. I think it's but a matter of time before parity is reached and/or exceeded. Pay attention to Bank of Canada officials talking about intervention if the CAD gets too strong too fast.

Nothing particularly special abt usdcad through parity fyi - we been here not all that long ago.
