I'm just starting to get back into technical anaylsis after a long break.
I am sure there's probably a simple answer to this for those who watch the markets closely.
I have checked a few stock quotes for certain stocks on both reuters and bloomberg. I notice the VOLUME is different. can someone tell me why this is?
FOR EXAMPLE:
for today (may 24) THE VOLUME TRADED for AT&T is as follows:
bloomberg: 15,645,676
reuters: 4,576,606
I have checked other stocks and it appears the volume is always much higher on bloomberg. why the difference? and if I am doing technical analysis with software, do I want the higher volume number of the lower volume number?
thanks
