Has anyone heard of this sotware for betfair trading?

Free Automated Trading Software for use on Betfair. Place Back and Lay Bets (and offset) with just One Click

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Andrew
:)

Anfrew if you look on the betfair site they have an API section which tells you about the software that can be purchased. Its not cheap, you need a lot of capitol to make it pay but it is supposed to be accurate and make money

"you need a lot of capitol to make it pay "

In fact, I would say completely the opposite, for horse racing you can turned your bank every 10 minutes in the afternoon. There are about twenty races so even small margins compound to very impressive totals in a day on even a small bank.

On horse racing, what would be the percentage turnover on your bank in betfair?
And would it work on financial betting the FSTE or Dow?
Can anybody tell me how the Win Only Market Back All bets work?
Any information on these questions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Andrew
:)

Scrip I appreciate what you say but it is not as easy as you say to make money as all of your bets are in a queue and we would all be doing it

On the contrary I think these markets are much more tradable than the conventional financial markets. There are no transaction charges and volume is compressed to just before the start of an event meaning good liquidity. If you trade at random about 70-80% of trades will complete profitably.

Liquidity on financials is poor though, so I stick to the high liquidity events.

Scripophilist I agree the liquidity on certain football games is amazing and with very small spreads it is not unusual to see £5-6 million traded on a midweek midtable premier league match. The FTSE liquidity is not great around £50k on the hourly intradays yet some people seem to make quite a large profit on these markets. The liquidity on the Dow is non existant hence it is not easy to trade.

Does anybody know the best thing to trade on betfair with the highest profit range and most liquid market?

Any information on the Win Only Market bets where you back both sides, apparently you can pick your odds!

I'm trying to find the best market on betfair to trade profitably!

Thanks, Andrew

football matches just look at the amount matched.

I tried out bet angel today and the free version is quite good but by no means is it a sure way to make money. I should know as I was a bookie for 8 years and have spent many hours trying to beat betfair. The best markets are the most volatile ones. Cricket and tennis are fantastic for laying odds on shots. A profitable book is achevable on golf. Things like the Newcastle manager can be fantastic. I generaly back the outsiders and lay the rumours. theres often crazy value in it i.e I got steve coppell at 700-1. Its very likely that he wont get the job but hes no 700-1 shot and no doubt the goerdies would want him. Also had Paul jewel at 40-1 and layed of on the rumour at 10-1. There are on average 3 100-1 on shots that lose every day on betfair(the mind boggles doesnt it who wants to back Henman when hes 6-0 up and 4-0 in the second set I think. Thats no 100-1 for him to lose. Theres too much that can go wrong for it to be 100-1 on. If you had the time and layed every horse at 1.02 using a simple staking plan you would make money on it. Once a month there are 2 100-1 on shots in the same race that lose. basically bet and lay where humans are involved is a good strategy providing you have the discipline which is by far the most important thing

julian most of the time the spreads are too wide on these outsider bets, i like lots of liquidity and tight spreads.

That can be true but the volatility makes up for it. For tight spreads it has to be football , but then you have to overcome the pro who has layed 10,000s each side of the market so scalping can be hard and you have to rely on human judgement

Julian I just observed the Dow intradays between 7.30 - 8.30 there has been no activity what so ever until the last 15 minutes when around £8k was traded. Arsenal v Juventus around £2.5m has been traded so far (this is low in my opinion).

Yep as my post said (Ftse only )there is no volume on the dow on betafir so no point> Football always has volume but is very hard to scalp as I mentioned before

I trade loads of football now and love it. I make a market in Man U 10k either side and get picked off over 2 days. At the end I collect my bounty ;)

Still love FTSE on Betfair though as that is where I started and it is still very profitable.

thats great to hear most of us havent got 10k to put ether side. Id be interested to know how you work the ftse ? I use binarybet to trade ot

My FTSE trading on Betfair has hardly changed through my whole trading of 6 years. If a price seems too good to be true I steam into it. Unlike a lot of Intra traders I rely less upon technical indicators and more upon human instinct. I know that sometimes if I hit that 1.30 bid for a £1000 that someone will chase me and together we will steam through to 1.10. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Mainly it works ;)

Football is very different though as there is no volatility before the match so I find a level I am happy to trade around ie 1.33 and put up 1.31-1.35 in 10k. As some or any of it gets taken I look at news/forums etc to decide why the majority might be taking my bet and is it logical. If logical I adjust the price quickly and if not I sit back and wait.

Look at tomorrow nights Man U odds. That is me laying 1.33 for 10k and I am now 1st in the queue. With 45k at 1.35 I would suggest that the odds will drop between now and kick off and my lay will be accepted. Thank God I backed them at 1.36 ;)
