Been thinking again.
There are Point and Figure charts, which are based on predetermined box-sizes to decide whether price has moved enough to record an event. (granularity)
Another key feature is predetermining the amount price has to move in the opposite direction to record a change in direction event. (box-sizes)
However, markets change their volatility. Here we have ATR.
Has anyone considered drawing Point and Figure charts, where the box-size is a function of the ATR rather than an arbitrary box-size?
If this has already been done, what are these charts called? (Kagi?)
