US stocks went upwards after better than expected results from Apple. Federal Reserve's Chairman Ben Bernanke in a testimony on America's economic outlook and monetary policy said: "I want to be clear we have a very long haul here. Unemployment will stay high for quite some time. It's not going to feel like a very strong economy. Financial conditions remain stressed, and many households and businesses are finding credit difficult to obtain.
