Advice on markets

Hi all, I have always traded the Ym, im currently teaching a friend to trade, and after paper trading for a while he now wants to trade for real using IB, he expects to loose in-order to learn, and i said id ask you guys if there is a market thats as lively as the Ym but uses smaller units of money per points than the Ym, any currency and markets are ok, i only trade the Ym so i thought id ask you for your opinion.

Well, go and have a look at OANDA, The Currency Site: Foreign Exchange Services and Trading.

You can position size your trade to be as small as you like there, although they only offer currencies.

Should be lively enough though:

That said, with real trading there should be some real pain and real gain involved financially imo, just to make it realistic.
