Adding new symbol to Global Server

I am adding symbols to GS and some of them come up with a question regarding which exchange I want. How is this disabled? I don't want to use the exchange for anything, It could be the timbuktu exchange for all I care. If I could eliminate this exchange question I could use the macro program I used to use to load symbols but currently, some of the issues come up with an exchange question or "more info is needed" where I have to enter the same symbol again. GS has always been the huge, huge, objection to working with TS2ki and it is finally getting to me in a big way. I could use the same macro program to install symbols without a hitch the last time I used TS2k, now I cannot. I changed from the free tools hyperserver to hyperserver 3.0 recently, that seems to have triggered a change in the way Global Server does things.

anyhow...

I used the macro program and semi-automated the process. I have to hit Ctrl +A for every symbol and if it asks for more info I hit Ctrl +B, not that hard really, I just put in 733 symbols in a few minutes.... and boy are my arms tired!

Every symbol has to be associated with an exchange.

For futures it's a good idea to keep your commonly used base symbols in the symbol dictionary (Tools | Edit Symbol Dictionary ) - then when adding a symbol (e.g. a new delivery month) you just do Insert | Symbol | Add from Dictionary) and most of the settings are filled in from the dictionary entry.

Of course, that doesn't help for stocks or forex etc.
