I spent a couple years in alternative investment broking, basically spanks. I'm keen to get into something with a bit more longevity and I applied for some stockbroker roles I saw online.
After filtering out all the spanks pretending to be stockbrokers (selling wine is NOT a trading job FFS) I'm left with two interviews in stock brokerages, I then spoke to a friend who works in a major investment bank and he's sorted an interview for their leading introducing broker.
I've got a couple weeks before my interviews, any tips and a bit more explanation of the job role? I assumed it was going to be similar to my previous broking roles ie high volume cold calls but at least two of these places seem to be very highly respected and the third seems to be new but again FSA registered so not sure it'll be the same environment?
Basically what will I be doing if I get the role? I should probablly have found this out first I just assumed it was the same but more legit
