do I have do download one metatrader for each broker in order to connect to the broker?


I have an existing version of metatrader downloaded from metaquotes.com


How do I add new servers in the servers list?

Or is it compulsory to download metatrader provided by the broker?

You can make as many copies of your MT4 as you like...simply copy the whole folder from C drive...and away ya go.

I would have thought a fresh download for each broker from their site is best bet.

remember different brokers offer different markets. and possibly different spreads.

separate downloads gives you a chance to assess the secondary components such as system-reliability, data-gaps, system freezes, slippage, etc.
