Mastering the Trade

Mastering the Trade

Insightful... for the uninitiated...

Its a rubish meadiocre book, with many parts that are inchohearent and poorly written. Most of the book is an amalgamation of others better work, and some of the strategies mentioned are piddling little intraday scalps that are extremely difficult to mimic for the average learning trader and only serve to accelerate his downfall as he is essentially encouraged to overtrade.
To the uninitiated the book is an immediate revaltion as to the insight it gives to how one should begin to find a system or create a trading plan (not mentioned if I recall correctly) That is why some people rate it. Its a bit like the revalation I recieved when reading STREET SMARTS by Linda Rashke. The greatest Trading books focus upon PSYCOLOGY and an almost scientific approach to MONEY MANAGEMENT. This book offers neither.. but if you have not advanced much as a Trader.. it will provide some insight into some practices especially the Tradestation environment.. but a Guru or Market Wizard this man is not.. in my mind he trades average not spectacularly at all.
if you only ever buy one book about trading, this should be the one

excellent; the only trading book you'll ever need - its has it all - psychology, systems, contract specifications etc
