Retired businessman who was always interested in stock markets now with time and money to put into practice investment approach based on research. Not a trader but a short term investor (average time 18 months).
Approach is really momentum investing based around movements of shares into and out of FTSE indices particularly mid-cap shares. Avoid volatile sectors eg technology and software.
More fun than index tracking funds but not a high risk strategy.
Not convinced by charting / technical analysis etc and I like to feel part of the company I am investing in so therefore dont want to day trade / short etc. Guess I am old fashioned.
