I started 'dabbling' in forex trading about a year ago. It was really a bumpy ride in the first few months but started gaining consistency after near 'capital disaster'!
I believe there is no short cut in trading. I believe in order to be successful in this profession, u need to research on your OWN trading strategy...don't mind the 'so-called' gurus. Dont buy any trade system! if you want to spend money buying trade learning stuffs, buy materials that try to help you discover yourself and your psychological make-up.
This might sound ridiculous but some of the 'dumbest tricks' in trading make the best strategies! Remember creativity rules the world. Own the charts! Make them exclusively yours! Mould them in your own way! And you will be amazed at the final product(strategy) you will create!
