It really has become quite tiresome to find after constructing a post that when I hit the submit button, an IP address issue message appears and all my efforts are lost. If the site has banned an IP address why can it not tell me that when I login rather than wait until after I have expended the effort in constructing a post and then try to submit it?
I appreciate the reasons given by t2w staff for banning some IP addresses and I have been warned that this would increasingly become more a problem, but as my employer allows me to use the internet connectivity they provide me as a home-worker for personal use on the basis of me adhering to their security and privacy policies – one of which is that I use TOR – I really have no option but to abide by their rules.
On that basis I’m afraid the increasing irritations of trying to be a fully contributing member of this site even with all the excellent advice and generous support I have been given are outweighed by the technical barriers to doing so.
This is an enormous shame for me as it's an excellent site with a great bunch of experienced and helpful members. Thank you to all who have personally given of their time, knowledge and skills to help me further along the way.
Good luck to you all.
