Hello

I recently started using this freeware item in order to convert excel csv/ascii files into globalserver/xpo format.

However, even though I follow the instructions/process I have not had any success as of yet.
When I finish the process I expect to have produced an xpo file But this does not materialse and I can find no trace of a resulting xpo file on my PC.

Has anyone overcome similar problems with hypertools for xpo? If so, how did you overcome them?

Problem solved!

I'm getting there slowly!

In the main screen of hypertools XPO you need to double-click - ASCii_to_xpo - which takes you through the setup process - specifying where you want the created xpo file to go and what it is to be called etc, but this does not complete the process.....you then need to write click on - ASCii_to_xpo - and click 'Execute'. This creates the xpo file and saves it to where you specified...........
 
Just wondered how you were progressing - my assumption is that you are using a tool from these people

Currently I am using TS 8 but at 100/month would consider switching to 2000i if i could feed it from Dealbook - am working on that.
 
Try HyperTools for XPO Premium Edition. It converts csv / ascii files directly into G Server without the intermediate xpo conversion.

It's free and works a treat.

I am now using hypertools xpo P.E.

I have just converted an ascii file into xpo format. I specified for the xpo file to go to my desktop.

How do you ensure that when you convert an ascii file to xpo format, that the xpo output file goes directly into the globalserver?

Hi

In order to import a created xpo file directly into globalserver you should check in the box "Direct Saving history into globalserver", the additional output settings are not required.

For direct saving into GlobalServer you need to have available the symbol in the GlobalServer Portfolio, or the data export to GS will not be completed successfully.

Hi

I get PM'd about hypertools regularly, people asking me to email it to them etc.
Please not that i no longer have any of the hypertools applications, so cannot be of any help.
