I trade a 123 formation in the GBP/USD on many different time frames. My trades are a combination of letting my 123 context define market direction and using price action to get in at the best price. I've been a FX trader for a number of years now, I learned like most do, by trial and error. But I really learned the most when I attended FX Trading Partner's trading school for 18 months, which is where I learned this 123 formation, at least using it in this context. I'm excited to post my trades on T2W and welcome any and all input from anybody! I have attached a few pic showing the kind of trades I take. (y)

I didn't take this set, pretty small timeframe. Cool to see it work though. It missed the 200% line by 3 pips. Generally I'll have my limit inside the 200% line a bit.

Pipmaster did you get your training through Vance Williams program? Your 123 setup is very much the same as the one he teaches.
 
Hello shabec, yes I did learn this from Vance Williams and FX Trading Partner. I was an active student for about 18 months and I learn so much, great times. Did you attend their school??

Mpat89, I only trade the one pair. My partner however is testing this stratagy out on the eur/usd and the usd/cad.


I took this trade yesterday @ 6:02. My context was a 4hr 123. I would have posted this much sooner but I keep getting an error message when I try to post.

Yes I was with FX Trading Partner also. I've been thinking and starting to look at 123's again. I've always had the eye for 123's and it really easy to trade, and as Vance always said is to keep your trading method simple.
 
Yeah simple is good. Thats pretty cool we have FX Trading Partner in common. So what are you trading now if not the 123's? Did you ever trade price action in the GBP/JPY?

waiting for this 30 min 123 to form up. Looking to go long at the #3 if it forms up for me.

I still haven't had a clean formation set up for this month. Right now I'm watching the 30 min chart and looking for a retrace to form a possible #2 point. But who knows.
 
I still haven't taken a trade all month. This 2 hour 123 has been the only set up thats fit for me. However I expected price to retrace higher for the #3 point and missed my entry. Oh on to the next set-up. :cool:

Finally the market gave me a setup on the 30 min this morning. I use 2 limits and the first one has been hit. Giving me a worst case scenario of +2.7% and a best case scenario of +14.6%. ;)

Well I traded my plan. Price missed my 2nd limit by 9 pips, and did not reach the 200% line. However on a formation that ultimately fell apart I still made 2.7%.

guys some questions for you both. You both went to the same trading school. Pip are you making money using this system and are genuinely offering help or are you part of another plan. Shabec you went to the same training and are now selling a trading system and yet you say you are looking at other patterns. Somewhere down the line THERE IS SOME ******** GOING ON HERE

Hello Julian,
Your directness is refreshing. Other than the few post I've read on this thread from Shabec I have no idea what he/she is involved in.
For myself I started a Forex Trading company in the spring of '07 and a few months later I stumbled acrossed the Forex school (FX Trading Partner) I mentioned. And now 2 1/2 years later I'm trading full time for my company and trying to post all of my live trades on www.t2w.com.
Since I learned so much from the trading school and I had a great time learning there and I do enjoy helping others in anyway I can. And since the school is for me the main source of my small success in the market I don't mind passing any information along that might be of help. Well Julian, thats my plan I hope that answers your questions, I'm just a guy trading the forex market! :cool:
