Run of the River

We've heard it all before. You are trying to promote a stock by posting false good news, everyone knows what you're up to. Now it didn't work you want the thread deleted. That's no problem I'll start a new one with more information.

yeah I would go back and comment on that one. I would simply put down "The technology and companies mentioned within this post or projects are backed by both Government registrations and documentation that support its value and validity. Unfortunately pboyles, a "legendary member" apparently is only legendary for his 4 word opinions or disbelief of projects without checking with the firm itself. There has been no pump nor dump.
also, complain to the site owner
say that the comment is defamatory
and you don't understand its context to the conversation
and should be removed immediately
that you find it offensive

Did you just copy and paste an e mail somebody sent you telling you how to respond to my comment?

I think I've heard of this Run of River company before. You wouldnt have been spamming us previously under a different name would you?

Andy,

World Energy Research, that's where I heard of Run of River before. It seems you or your mate got the runaround on the fool website as well. Then you tried it out here and got called on it. Please try a bit harder, this is too easy to be entertaining. Jorge will have to find a better pump and dump merchant.

Dont F with the Boyles

Do you think I am being a bit hard on him, he's obviously not very good at this? I mean he clearly e mailed somebody asking what to do and then posted their e mail as his reply here. I thought it was just badly written but when I looked at it I realised it was a reply to something he asked.

Andy

You deleted your post by mistake, luckily I found a previous one that you made on the 8th Ferbruary. Unfortunately it doesnt mention Run of River Inc but it does mention some other companies that you are trying to pump.

There is a reason why the US Department of Energy announced in September 2010 that they were making their largest investment ever into technology to develop marine and hydrokinetic technologies, it's one of the cheapest, most economical grouping of technologies in the alternative energy sector. The same kind of hydrokinetic technologies that Guatemala's World Energy Holdings and Research PLC plans on deploying in over 9 projected areas within the Country harnessing hydropower generated by rivers.

World Energy Holdings and Research (WEH&R) is considered a breakthrough Energy Company in Central and Latin America introducing competitive technologies and gaining projects and market shares from the incumbent power companies and major firms operating in the area. Based on the success of building projects like the Tacana Hydro Electric power plant, World Energy Holdings and Research will advance as a major power provider and player within this region of the world.

The project currently holds a Power Purchase Agreement with the private utility company associated with the World Energy family of companies.

WEH&R chose the projects based on:

•the project is located wisely;

•cumulative effects have been seriously considered;

•affected aboriginal and other communities have been contacted;

•the headpond, weir and intake have been designed to minimize impacts to fish, sediment
movement and flooding.

The renewable power opportunity with run-of-river technology focuses on:

•displacement of non-renewable power;

•reduction of air emissions;

•reduction of solid waste, toxic metals and nuclear waste;

In November 2009, the EU's long-term financing arm invested over $211 million dollars into similar projects to the Guatemala World Energy Holdings and Research held by Gas de France- Suez Group subsidiaries in counterpart financing from the European Investment Bank to build up the Dos Mares hydroelectric project in Panama.

The loan made by the European Union's long-term financing arm to Alertnegy S.A. and Bontex S.A., which own the concession to the project, will partly finance the 340 million euro ($498 million) hydro complex consisting of a cascade of three run-of-river power plants in western Panama.

The Guanaca, Lorena and Prudencia hydro plants will be built alongside the existing Fortuna and Canjilones plants of the Chiqui River's hydroelectric system. The three new plants will add up to a combined capacity of 117.5 megawatts.

The additional renewable energy capacity will go toward meeting the rapidly growing electricity needs of the South American nation.
The loan was granted under the investment bank's Sustainable Energy and Security of Supply Facility, a 3 billion euro credit line which aims to finance projects that strengthen energy security through promoting renewable power generation in developing countries.

In spite of the global economic downturn which has squeezed credit markets, the bank said it is pushing on with major financing operations in South America "to ensure that viable [and] eligible projects are not jeopardised."

Companies like World Energy Holdings and Research PLC, aim to benefit from the global support surrounding renewable energy production in developing countries and securing energy for South American nations. In line with the goals of the EU, US, Canada, and other supportive development agencies, the goal is to advance Guatemala's energy production privately and within an environmentally sound manner. World Energy Holdings and Research PLC is a publicly listed company on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, majority owned by Guatemalan residents and select accredited private investment partners

No hold on a minute, I found your original post other forums, you've been very busy today

So here is a copy of the original post, just in case you lost it

The technological approach being implemented for the Tacana project and other prospective projects is known as “run of the river” hydroelectricity. In this type of hydroelectric generation, the power itself is created by the natural course of the river current – in short, the natural flow and elevation drop are used to generate electricity. Power stations of this type can only be employed effectively on rivers with a consistent and ample flow. Run of the river projects are dramatically different in design and appearance from conventional dams, and their overall environmental impact is substantially reduced. Ordinary hydroelectric projects constructed on rivers with significant seasonal fluctuations require a large reservoir in order to be productive during the dry season. This usually means that large tracts of land need to be impounded and flooded to enable continuous operation. In stark contrast, run of the river projects simply divert a small amount of water into a penstock pipe, which channels the water downhill to the power station turbines.

This system uses the basic laws of physics to ensure a steady power supply even in the absence of a huge reservoir. Because of the difference in relief as water travels down the penstock, potential energy from the water up river is transformed into kinetic energy during its descent. This gives the water flow ample speed to spin the turbines in the powerhouse, which in turn transforms the kinetic energy into electrical energy. This method also leaves downstream flows intact, since all diverted water is returned to the stream below the powerhouse.

Most run of the river power plants consist of a dam across the full width of the river to provide the head needed for running the turbines. The water that is not needed for generating electricity spills over the dam at a spillway. Such installations have a reservoir behind the dam, but flooding is minimal and the reservoir is not used to store water for later generation. Flooding the upper part of the river is not required as it doesn’t need a large reservoir. As a result, people living at or near the river don’t need to be relocated, and natural habitats are preserved. This reduces the environmental impact and is a friendlier alternative to the large-scale reservoirs that are a staple of major dams without run of the river design.

I was using an example in Guatemala for Run of River. I was going to post some more in BC, and some in Panama at the moment. Can you recommend any for the discussion. I noticed your information and apparently I used an example that someone else has used elsewhere, thank you for making me aware of it. We are not the same people, feel free to ask the site owner, they would know. Our research was done reading Government documents and news, not ad hoc trollers... but we have taken it into consideration for now.

No you used an example that someone else called 'anndy' used elsewhere. I realise that could be a coincidence so I shoudn't jump to conclusions. Perhaps I have been too hasty in this matter.

Anyhow do tell us why you have been kind enough to share this news with us and the people on the other forums.
